Forbidden Dance is a compelling short documentary that explores the experiences of an Iranian dancer as she navigates the societal and legal restrictions placed on her art because of her gender. This project, written and directed by me, showcases the powerful storytelling and impactful cinematography that culminated in a Best Short Documentary award at the Berlin Indie Film Festival. Through this project, viewers are given a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of a woman in pursuit of her passion in the face of discrimination and censorship.
